Job Summary
Sales Manager is responsible for attaining catering/banquet revenue and effectively soliciting and securing new accounts, while servicing clients/groups. Works with Director of Sales to achieve revenue and market share goals for one or more properties. Responsibilities include soliciting calls, conducting sales tours, entertaining clients in Social, Corporate, Business Travel, or SMERF segments, growing relationships with assigned accounts, monitoring market trends, maintaining guest and staff relations, adhering to catering/sales standards, and participating in promotions. Requires knowledge of hotel operations, strong communication skills, and proficiency with computers; must hold a valid driver's license. Prior market-segment experience and ability to travel within market are expected.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Developed verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Strong organization and presentation skills
