Job Summary
Sales Manager leads dealership sales operations by hiring, training, and evaluating sales staff; drives monthly and annual sales goals, manages department staffing, and ensures regulatory compliance. Responsible for coaching vehicle salespeople, setting aggressive yet realistic targets, maintaining prospecting and follow-up systems, directing merchandising and advertising efforts, overseeing inventory decisions by color/model/equipment, and developing incentive programs with management to maximize gross and F&I penetration. Works to maintain customer satisfaction, deliver effective communication across the department, and ensure proper execution of policies, training resources, and performance standards throughout the vehicle sales process.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum two years’ experience in automotive sales
- At least one year sales management experience at a new vehicle high line/luxury vehicle dealership
- Valid Driver’s License
- Manufacturer Training
