Job Summary
Sales Manager role at Go2Africa leading the Sales and Enquiry Team, accountable for executing the sales plan, hiring/training staff, driving KPI attainment and pipeline performance, and delivering exceptional customer outcomes in luxury African travel. Responsibilities include managing enquiry-to-invoice conversions, ensuring timely responses, guiding outbound communications, supporting customer feedback handling, and fostering professional development within the team. The role requires leadership, analytical and numerical skills, experience in B2C luxury travel (with potential B2B experience), and familiarity with CRM and sales tech (HubSpot, Salesforce, Tourplan). The position supports flexible/hybrid work arrangements across multiple locations (Cape Town, Hoedspruit, Nairobi) with a focus on improving operational efficiency, coaching, mentoring, and driving revenue optimization.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3+ years B2C sales management experience in luxury travel, or B2C and B2B sales management experience in other industries
- Proven sales management track record
- Knowledge of African and Indian Ocean Islands travel and tourism markets
- Luxury travel sector and high-net-worth segments
- Consultative sales methodologies and customer-centric selling
- Sales performance tracking, team leadership, and revenue optimisation
- HubSpot Sales Hub (Enterprise)
- Sales CRM pipeline management or similar CRM (e.g. Salesforce)
- Travel Itinerary Software (e.g. Tourplan)
- MS Suite
- Demonstrable understanding of sales techniques and strategies
- Ability to coach and mentor
