Sales Manager, NAM Data Center Sales

Job Summary
Own and execute a new account acquisition strategy targeting colocation operators, hyperscale providers, and regional data center developers across the U.S. Build and maintain a robust pipeline through proactive prospecting, cold outreach, industry networking, and referral development. Lead all phases of the sales cycle, including qualification, design engagement, proposal development, negotiation, and closing net-new business for ZincFive's BC Series battery cabinet solutions. Develop relationships with consulting engineers, UPS OEMs, and MEP/EPC firms to drive product specification into new projects. Carry and exceed an individual quota focused on first-time customer wins and new logo revenue. Report to the Director of NAM Data Center Sales with an expected 50%+ domestic travel requirement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, technical discipline, business, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in data center power, UPS, battery systems, or mission-critical infrastructure sales
- Demonstrated success as a hunter, with a proven track record of new account acquisition and consistent quota achievement
- Strong technical sales background with ability to discuss UPS, batteries, and data center electrical design in detail
- Proven ability to prospect, develop, and close large, complex, multi-stakeholder deals with new customers
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Experience selling to colocation and enterprise data center customers, including consulting engineers and MEP/EPCs
- Self-starter with strong pipeline management discipline and the ability to work independently across a large territory
- Proficiency in CRM systems and modern sales workflow tools
- Expected travel 50%+ domestically, with occasional international travel
- Work involves sitting, standing, occasional walking, and lifting up to 30 pounds
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment when required
- Requires the ability to travel by air, car, train, or bus
- Must be able to maintain a level state of alertness while performing this job
Desired Qualifications
- Technical experience with battery cabinet or advanced energy storage system sales
- Existing network of data center operator, developer, consulting engineer, and MEP/EPC contacts in the NAM region
- Previous experience in a high-growth or startup-like environment
- Understanding of UPS OEM ecosystems (Vertiv, Eaton, Schneider, ABB, Delta)
- Familiarity with specification selling IEC/UL/IEEE standards
