Job Summary

Sales Manager is responsible for proactively soliciting and handling sales opportunities, ensuring proper turnover to Event Management, and assisting in leading day-to-day sales activities with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships to achieve sales objectives. The role emphasizes collaboration with off-property sales channels, development of relationships with existing and new customers (including activities such as sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, and trade shows), and driving revenue by understanding market trends and identifying new business opportunities. The position also involves generating proposals and contracts, providing excellent customer service, and delivering service standards that grow share of the account at Marriott International.

Required Qualifications

  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 3 years experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area
  • 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 1 year experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area
