Job Summary
Drive growth for LANXESS ion exchange resin solutions in Mining & Metallurgy and Battery Metals segments across China by identifying new business opportunities, developing sales strategies, and converting project opportunities into profitable results. Conduct market research to understand industry trends, build strategic relationships with key industry players, and provide technical support on product applications and benefits. Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis to the LPT BU head while monitoring performance against targets. Collaborate with marketing, technical, and supply chain teams to execute promotional activities and ensure timely product delivery, while collecting account receivables. Maintain in-depth product knowledge and stay updated on competitor developments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy, Materials Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of sales, business development, or technical sales experience in Mining & Metallurgy, Metal Processing, Battery Materials, Battery Recycling, Hydrometallurgy, Water Treatment, or related industries
- Proven experience in developing and managing key customer relationships and driving business growth in industrial or process industries
- Strong business development and technical sales skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and develop value-based solutions for customers
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration capabilities
- Ability to manage complex sales opportunities
- Ability to work effectively with local and global teams
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with metal extraction, separation, purification, recovery, or recycling processes
- Experience in lithium, nickel, cobalt, copper, rare earth, battery materials, or battery recycling industries
- Experience with ion exchange resins, adsorbents, specialty chemicals, process chemicals, or related separation technologies
- Proficiency in English
