Job Summary
Sales Manager responsible for driving growth in a nutraceutical contract manufacturing environment by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, expanding the client base, and building lasting relationships with key stakeholders. Manages full sales cycle from prospecting and presentations to negotiations and contract closure while ensuring client satisfaction. Collaborates cross-functionally with product development, project management, and production teams to provide market insights, refine offerings, and report on sales performance and trends to senior leadership. Travel-friendly remote role based in the Mountain West US, with frequent client visits and industry events. Key duties include developing sales strategies, delivering tailored proposals, managing the sales pipeline, achieving quarterly/annual targets, negotiating contracts, maintaining knowledge of ODM capabilities, providing product feedback, and maintaining CRM records.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, Food Science, Sales or related field
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management
- Experience in Nutraceutical, Vitamin, Supplement, or functional food/Beverage space
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth
- Strong skills in prospecting, lead generation, and pipeline management
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication abilities
- Ability to build and maintain long-term client and partner relationships
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach
- Proficiency in CRM systems and MS Office/Google Suite
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events
