Job Summary
Manage sales activities in Southeast Asia for assigned key accounts and distributors across Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants & Elastomers, Fuel Additives, and Polyurethane Catalyst applications. Implement HPP Business strategies and EH&S policies while ensuring delivery of annual sales and contribution margin budgets. Prepare annual sales forecasts, monitor market dynamics, and execute gap closure actions to drive profitable growth. Lead distributor performance reviews, manage account plans, pricing files, and receivables monitoring. Collaborate with Commercial, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Technical functions to identify new business opportunities and propose strategic changes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in chemistry or Chemical Engineering or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sales or marketing of specialty chemical products in either of the above-mentioned industries
- Good command of English proficiency is preferred
- Job experience in technical or technical sales and handling amine, surfactant or similar chemistry is plus
Desired Qualifications
- Possess extensive knowledge of chemical industries across Southeast Asia in general, and specialized in a specific market, such as Polyurethane, Electronics, Semiconductor, Epoxy resin & adhesives, Paint & Coating
- Very well trained in influencing, analytical, negotiation and interpersonal skills as well as being a strategic thinker, highly result oriented and decisive
- A strong technical background and understanding is advantageous
- Have a proven track record of growing sales and profit and demonstrate a hunger for new business development in the specialty chemicals area
- Experience identifying, developing and converting new business opportunities through direct customer engagement and/or channel partners
- Strong key account management skills and the ability to drive profitable growth through effective pricing, forecasting and cross-functional collaboration
