Job Summary
Monitor competitor activities, assess sales data, and optimize revenue by negotiating rates and selling all hotel facets. Manage key accounts, travel to promote the property, and develop leads through regular sales calls and meetings with corporate clients, travel agents, and government departments. Maintain stock control of collateral, work with the leadership team on the sales and marketing budget, and interface with operations and regional reservations to ensure proper staffing and guest needs. Schedule conventions and coordinate services with other departments while building a profile in the local marketplace through event attendance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in marketing or related field
- three or four years' experience in a hospitality or hotel sales and marketing setting
- an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Must speak fluent English
