Job Summary
Manage and direct the execution of sales plans for GHC-SCW health insurance products, working in the field to identify opportunities with sales representatives. Provide direction, guidance, and supervision to Account Executives and Sales Executives while developing annual sales plans aligned with organizational strategy. Achieve targeted sales growth, retain existing customers, and manage the agency distribution system by solving problems and ensuring high customer satisfaction. Obtain and maintain an active Wisconsin health/life insurance license within six months of employment. This role supports a structured schedule with no evenings, weekends, or holiday work required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Sales and Marketing or relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- A minimum of five (5) years of sales experience with a health insurance organization
- Hands-on knowledge of group insurance needs and capabilities
- Managerial experience with coaching/mentoring of sales staff
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active Wisconsin health/life insurance license
- Possession of a Resident Insurance Intermediary Agent License in Accident & Health and Life with the State of Wisconsin
- Ability to provide reliable transportation to GHC-SCW facilities and offsite meetings
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of sales and marketing
- A demonstrable capacity to keep abreast of new technology trends
- Excellent formal presentation skills before both small and larger groups
- Excellent written communication and verbal communication and listening skills both in-person and on the phone
- Ability to make effective group presentations
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of supervision and administration as applied to the management of personnel
- Good supervisory skills required with ability to provide leadership to staff
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to be culturally sensitive and work with diverse populations
- Knowledge of computer-based software programs such as MS Office Suite including word processing, spreadsheet, calendar and email
- Ability to maintain organizational, personnel and patient confidentiality required
- Knowledge of or ability to learn HIPAA privacy requirements
- Organization, planning, scheduling and project management skills

- Ability to develop goals and objectives, and establishing priorities
