Job Summary
Mid-level Sales Manager to drive sales growth and expand market presence while managing the day-to-day operations of the sales department. The role involves actively managing key customer accounts, pursuing new business opportunities, executing sales strategies, and leading sales activity to achieve revenue goals. Balances direct selling with sales team leadership, collaborates with engineering, production, and quality teams to support customer requirements, monitors sales performance metrics, forecasts, and pipeline activity, participates in pricing strategy, quoting, and contract negotiations, and represents General Carbide at customer meetings and industry events.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 10-15+ years of B2B sales experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Prior experience leading, mentoring, or supervising sales personnel
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to understand technical products and industrial applications
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
- Preferred Experience: Experience in powder metal and/or steel manufacturing environments
- Preferred Experience: Familiarity with technical, engineered, or metallurgical products
- Preferred Experience: Experience working with OEMs and industrial customers
