Job Summary
Lead and manage the event sales function across the organization, driving revenue by securing new business opportunities (corporate events, weddings, private functions) and overseeing the end-to-end sales process from inquiry through successful event execution. Partner with operations and marketing to ensure flawless event delivery, high client satisfaction, and seamless cross-functional collaboration. Responsibilities include developing and executing an annual event sales strategy, nurturing new and existing client relationships, negotiating event packages and terms, mentoring a sales team to meet or exceed targets, coordinating with catering, AV, décor, and other services, and representing the brand at industry events. Required skills include leadership and mentorship, consultative client engagement, strong negotiation and communication abilities, CRM/event management proficiency, and deep knowledge of the event/hospitality landscape. The role requires a proven track record of sales success, the ability to manage multiple complex events simultaneously, and a customer-service orientation.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in event sales or a related field
- Proven leadership experience managing and motivating a sales team
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or related field is a plus
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and execute sales strategies, set goals, and track performance
- Proficiency with CRM software and event management tools
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
- Ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities (corporate events, weddings, private functions)
- Experience coordinating with operations, catering, AV, and venue management
- Customer-focused with strong relationship-building capabilities
