Job Summary
Solicit new and existing accounts to meet revenue goals through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections, and written communication. Maintain a friendly, cheerful demeanor while providing personalized service to hotel guests and communicating effectively with teams. Prepare correspondence, internal booking reports, and file maintenance. Participate in daily business reviews, pre-convention meetings, and training sessions. Work with other departments to ensure quality service and professionally represent the hotel at community events and industry meetings. Develop knowledge of market trends, competition, and customers. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Requires minimum three years of hospitality sales experience, local market knowledge, and ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends.
Required Qualifications

- Experience at a similar size and quality hotel

- Ability to quickly, evaluate alternatives and decide on a plan of action
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of various cultural social events including, but not limited to weddings, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs and fraternal organization meetings
- Dependable
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Knowledge of DELPHI
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends
- Frequent standing, sitting, walking and climbing stairs
- Repetitive bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying
- Reaching above, at and below shoulder level
- Lifting and carrying unassisted up to 50 lbs
- Must be aware of the importance of safety and security
- Endeavor to be conscious of safety and security at all times
- Friendly and courteous to guests and fellow team members at all times
