Job Summary
Sales Manager for Pumps Aftermarket in the western region of India (Mumbai-based) responsible for development, implementation and execution of sales strategies and tactics to drive aftermarket and direct sales across OEMs, EPCs, End Users, and distributors. Role involves opportunity creation/identification, lead qualification, product selection, proposal generation and follow-up to capture new business; develop strategies to penetrate target markets, manage regional accounts, and build/distribute sales channels. Responsibilities include forecasting, bookings and margin reporting, dashboard creation, competitive analysis, and collaboration with Global Product Managers to align with go-to-market initiatives. The candidate will meet with key clients and maintain relationships, conduct site visits as needed, prepare technical and commercial presentations, and travel up to 70% of the time. Required capabilities include strong sales and technical presentation skills, ability to analyze financial data and forecast, leadership to develop regional sales teams, and effective cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (full-time) from a recognized institute/university in India
- 10-15 years of related experience in supporting sales activities in Power, Petrochemical, Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Water & Wastewater and General Industries in the region
- Prior experience with API Pump companies / end markets
- Business management education (preferred)
