Job Summary
Strategic Sales Manager responsible for national account development in the commercial door market, driving revenue growth through new national accounts across commercial, retail, and industrial sectors. Develop contractor and end-user relationships, manage multi-phase projects from lead to close, collaborate with internal Sales Operations and Project Management teams, present Clopay’s value proposition to contractors, architects, facility managers, and procurement teams, create tailored proposals and product solutions, identify cross-selling opportunities, monitor industry trends, and utilize CRM to track pipeline and account progress. Remote with up to 50% travel to client meetings and quarterly in-person meetings with National Accounts.
Required Qualifications
- 5–8+ years of outside sales experience in the commercial door, access systems, or related building materials industry
- Proven track record in national account management and project-based sales
- Experience selling through contractor networks and directly to commercial end-users
- Familiarity with construction documents, architectural plans, and project timelines
- Skilled in managing long-cycle sales and coordinating across multiple decision-makers
- Experience with dock doors; hoods, shelters, bumpers, restraints, dock levelers, etc.
