Job Summary
The Sales Manager is responsible for hiring, training, motivating, counseling, and monitoring the performance of all salespeople. Key responsibilities include ensuring dealership policies are adhered to, forecasting department goals and objectives, controlling expenses, and maintaining Sales Satisfaction Index standards. The role requires knowledge of federal, state, and local laws governing retail auto sales and includes making inventory recommendations, assisting in the development of advertising campaigns, and fostering teamwork across departments.
Required Qualifications
- Valid TX DL and acceptable driving record
- Acceptable background review
- Negative drug screen
- Basic math, reading and writing skills
- Ability to operate a standard transmission vehicle
- Ability to use a computer and 10 key calculator
- Strong mental aptitude
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Strong personal initiative
