Job Summary
Sales Manager responsible for driving business development and top-line growth for Packaged Gases in Penang and Perak, Malaysia. Lead a regional commercial team, coordinate with Marketing and distributor networks, and execute targeted sales plans across assigned territories. Responsibilities include identifying key market segments, building strategic prospecting lists, qualifying high-potential prospects via customer data, coordinating structured customer visits, drafting visit reports and progress summaries, initiating regular prospecting activities, monitoring competitor threats, assessing profitability per product line, implementing price increases or high-value solutions, and accelerating cash collection in coordination with Credit Control. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 5+ years of B2B sales experience, 2+ years in a leadership role, strong negotiation and communication skills, and ability to collaborate across lines of business in a multinational environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related technical discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of proven B2B sales experience
- At least 2 years of experience in a management, supervisory, or team leadership role
- Strong business acumen with understanding of market dynamics, customer profitability analysis, and financial metrics
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate and present tailored technical or commercial solutions to complex accounts
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills to guide regional teams in a matrixed, multinational organization
