Job Summary
Oversee sales strategies, budgets, and marketing plans to drive revenue and gross profit growth. Partner with leadership to establish KPIs, assess budgets, and provide regular sales forecasts. Motivate and hire sales staff while managing Salesforce data for leads, opportunities, and pipeline reporting. Conduct sales deep dives to ensure individual seller targets are met and coordinate company-wide training, road shows, and symposiums. Lead strategic supplier initiatives, including quarterly planning sessions, to increase opportunity close ratios and support team selling. Solicit feedback, maintain company culture, and implement commission programs to incentivize the team. Manage daily and quarterly goals with the sales team while traveling approximately 50% of the time to support market expansion and outside sales efforts.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive sales leadership experience in the Automation and/or Distribution Industry
- Minimum 5 years leading, developing, and coaching outside and inside sales teams with a deep understanding of distribution and its value proposition to the market
- Proven track record of hiring and building high-performance sales teams and establishing enduring relationships with customers and key suppliers to increase market share while increasing profitability
- Strong Business Development acumen
- Strong entrepreneurial spirit
- Experience in both high-volume transaction selling as well as project-based cap-ex projects
- Strong work ethic with proactive communication skills
- Proficient computer and technical skills including working knowledge of Salesforce and MS Office 365
- Travel requirements would be approximately 50% of the time in support of the business, outside sales team, and market expansion/growth initiatives
- Must hold a valid driver's license
