Job Summary
Generate revenue and oversee strategies to drive total room, banquet, and catering revenue by soliciting clients through oral and written communication. Manage group, transient, and catering sales activities while developing rates and meeting space deployment strategies based on competitive data and demand analysis. Compile reports on market performance, forecasts, and budgets to optimize opportunities and execute the annual business plan. Collaborate with leadership to foster relationships and represent the hotel in community and industry events. Work 40-45 hours weekly, occasionally working evenings and weekends, with a focus on exceeding performance expectations.
Required Qualifications
- Sales experience in the hospitality industry
- Knowledge of computer accounting programs
- Math skills
- Budgetary analysis capabilities
- Extensive knowledge of sales skills, revenue management, and motivation of team members
- Ability to effectively listen, communicate and perform diplomacy with internal and external customers and staff in all situations
- Ability to stand and move throughout the hotel property and continuously perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences
- Willing to work evenings and occasionally a weekend
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and gmail systems
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of sales and marketing leadership in similar sized operation
