Job Summary
Regional Sales Manager leads and motivates a team of regional Field Sales Consultants; manages the combined performance of the team to reach monthly and annual targets; partners with Retail and Ad Teams to drive lead generation; ensures training, motivation, and adherence to sales standards; supports closing at customer sites; owns regional customer relations and resolves escalated issues; tracks sales progress from pipeline to installation using Salesforce; collaborates on customer requirements, competitive analysis, and pricing; produces forecasts and maintains knowledge of solar market conditions; reports to Regional Sales Director and works with Sunrun Operations for profitability; role requires driving to customer locations and willingness to travel; compensation ranges indicate base + incentives; recruiter contact provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of management-level direct sales experience in a growth technology, construction, or solar industry
- Ability to drive a vehicle during the normal course of business; clean driving record; valid driver's license; must be 21 years of age
- Proven leadership abilities including communication, relationship building, training and development, and performance management
- Ability to move opportunities through the entire sales process and to close sales
- Strong forecasting and pipeline management skills
- Knowledge of solar market conditions, rebates, and tax incentives
- Ability to work with Salesforce.com and generate regular sales reports
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute tactical sales plans
- High ethics, integrity, and humility
