Job Summary
Develop technical layout for Vanderlande's parcel/ecommerce distribution projects during the Sales phase. Deliver layout-related materials, create the most optimal design using internal rules, gather technical information for design, and challenge project teams to meet customer needs. Produce rendered images/animations to support presentations, contribute to costing inputs for Material Handling Systems, and design basic steel structures supporting the MHS. Read Architectural, Mechanical and Structural drawings in a 3D visualization context; analyze customer logistics processes to create concept solutions. Maintain cross-functional collaboration with Sales Engineer and Sales Consultant, manage multiple projects across different sales phases, and travel as needed. Emphasizes creativity, proactive ownership, and ability to present system designs attractively to customers; welcomes hybrid work arrangement and ongoing professional development through the Vanderlande Academy.
Required Qualifications
- Secondary vocational education (MTS) or BSc in Engineering (HTS)
- 5+ years of experience using AutoCAD or similar software
- Knowledge with Navisworks, Revit and BIM preferred
- Proven track record in designing Material Handling Solutions is strongly preferred
- Proven experience in designing steel support structures is strongly preferred
- Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written
