Sales Intern - Government Payment Services and other value added services

Job Summary

Conduct field prospecting and territory coverage for government payment services, including GUCE, tax, and non-tax revenue streams, by mapping entities, building prospect databases, and executing weekly visits to validate targets. Lead initial commercial negotiations with decision-makers, manage the sales cycle to secure contracts within 21 business days, and support client activation through training and transaction volume ramp-up. Maintain active portfolio management via monthly follow-ups, propose complementary services, and escalate usage barriers for resolution. Report daily CRM updates and weekly activity summaries to the Business developer while participating in pipeline meetings and coaching sessions. Requires a Bachelor's degree in relevant fields, strong French proficiency, and a driving license.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Management, Finance, Law, or an equivalent discipline
  • Foundational knowledge of sales techniques: Distribution, needs discovery, argumentation, objection handling, and closing
  • Comfort with digital tools: CRM systems, mobile reporting applications, professional messaging platforms, and spreadsheets
  • Knowledge of the local institutional landscape: government departments, tax authorities, financial agencies, state bodies, and local councils
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage credibly with senior interlocutors (CFOs, Directors General, public accountants and treasurers)
  • Rigour, autonomy, and organisational skills to manage a dense prospecting schedule with limited direct supervision
  • Absolute integrity and discretion and good professional attitude
  • Strong written and spoken French
  • Driving licence or ability to travel independently within the assigned zone
  • Mastery of microsoft office (Power point and Excel)
