Job Summary
Support day-to-day retail store operations at Sabino Canyon Recreation Area by completing sales transactions and providing excellent visitor service. Assist retail managers with inventory, receiving, stocking, cleaning, and merchandising to maintain effective product displays. Become an expert in store products to communicate their educational value to visitors and act as an ambassador for Western National Parks and the USFS. Help conduct physical inventory cycles and year-end counts to ensure accuracy. Assist with special events after normal hours and on weekends. Maintain positive relationships with National Park partners while achieving high customer service ratings. Occasional travel to local events or overnight trips may be required. Valid REAL ID driver's license and prior POS experience are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required—unless currently a high school student
- Valid REAL ID driver's license
- Ability to pass Western National Park's independent employment background screening that may include, but is not limited to, employment, education, criminal, SSN verification and, professional references as part of its hiring requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Prior retail and point of sale system experience (preferred)
- Planning, organization, analyzation, problem solving, multitasking, and communication
