Job Summary
Assist customers in selecting products at the Waukesha garden & home location by greeting customers, educating on selections, and providing exceptional service. Maintain merchandise stock levels and presentation, operate the POS accurately, and support merchandising and operational procedures. Collaborate with management, participate in product knowledge meetings, and be a cross-trained team member across departments to support floral decorations and home décor displays while delivering a positive customer experience. Requires ability to work in both indoor and outdoor conditions and to multitask in a dynamic retail environment.
Required Qualifications
- passion for horticulture, yard/home décor, and seasonal merchandise
- good written and verbal communication skills
- exceptional customer service skills
- ability to work in both inside and outside environmental conditions, rain or shine
- multitask, prioritize, and work independently or within a team environment
- great organizational and problem-solving skills
- able to operate POS and handle transactions
- cross training across multiple departments
- physical ability to sit/stand, reach, lift up to 25 pounds as needed
