Job Summary
Garden Sales Associate responsibilities include greeting customers, building relationships, assisting customers to determine needs, educating customers to choose the right selections, supporting merchandising and operational procedures, stocking and rotating products, ensuring merchandise presentation and signage are current, operating the POS, and assisting with floral/home décor displays. The role requires enthusiasm for horticulture and seasonal merchandise, strong communication and customer service skills, willingness to work both indoors and outdoors, and the ability to work independently or in a team, across multiple departments. The position emphasizes delivering a positive customer experience and supporting store operations in a retail garden center environment.
Required Qualifications
- Passion for horticulture, yard/home décor, and seasonal merchandise
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environmental conditions
