Job Summary
Garden Sales Associate role focused on delivering exceptional customer experiences in a retail garden/home décor environment. Responsibilities include greeting customers, assessing needs, educating customers on products, assisting with merchandising and operational procedures, maintaining stock and displays, ensuring signage is accurate, rotating stock, cross-training across departments, operating the POS system, handling payments and receipts, and contributing to floral and home décor displays. Requires enthusiasm for horticulture and seasonal merchandise, strong communication and customer service skills, ability to work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions, and the ability to multitask and collaborate with the team to meet business needs.
Required Qualifications
- Passion for horticulture, yard/home décor, and seasonal merchandise
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to work in both inside and outside environmental conditions, rain or shine
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently or within a team
- Great organizational and problem-solving skills
- Experience with merchandising and POS operations is a plus
