Sales Floor Dept Supervisor - Hardware-Tools

Job Summary
Lead and coach a team of associates to deliver a best-in-class customer experience on the Lowe’s Sales Floor Department. Responsibilities include providing resources to frontline associates, down stocking and area recovery, contributing to merchandising decisions, monitoring use of store power equipment and coaching safe lifting practices, opening/closing as needed, and serving as manager-on-duty. Communicates with leadership to share concerns and celebrate successes, ensuring department coverage, training and performance management, and delivering customer-facing services (greeting, needs clarification, solutions, and sales) along with non-customer-facing activities (inventory management, safety walks). Requires broad product knowledge across hardware/tools and effective use of store systems; willingness to travel occasionally to support neighboring stores.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of experience in a retail environment OR 5 years of experience in a retail environment.
- 1 year of experience in customer service.
- 1 year of experience supporting the unique needs of Pro customers (for Pro Department Supervisor).
- Experience providing direction or supervision to teams (with or without direct report responsibility).
- Experience supporting or participating in the process of training, mentoring and developing associates.
- Experience working cross-functionally.
- Experience Using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law.
