Job Summary
Sales Floor Department Supervisor at Lowe’s is responsible for leading a team to deliver excellent customer service, coaching and training associates, driving merchandising decisions, and ensuring safety and store operations. The role includes customer-facing activities (greeting, clarifying needs, closing sales), non-customer-facing tasks (down stocking, inventory management, area recovery), and potential manager-on-duty duties. Travel is occasional; requires morning/afternoon/evening availability and the ability to lift 25 pounds, with higher lifts as needed. Requires high school diploma or equivalent and retail experience, with emphasis on leadership, supervision, training, and cross-functional collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of experience in a retail environment OR 5 years of experience in a retail environment.
- 1 year of experience in customer service.
- 1 year of experience supporting the unique needs of Pro customers (for Pro Department Supervisor).
- Experience providing direction or supervision to teams (with or without direct report responsibility).
- Experience supporting or participating in the process of training, mentoring and developing associates.
- Experience working cross-functionally.
- Experience Using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law.
