Job Summary
Sales Floor Department Supervisor role at Lowe's focuses on leading a team to deliver an exceptional in-store customer experience across appliances, cabinets, and millwork. Responsibilities include coaching and training associates, delegating tasks, down stocking, area recovery, merchandising input, and ensuring store safety and proper lifting techniques. The role involves supervising a team to meet sales and service objectives, handling both customer-facing activities (greeting, needs clarification, solutions, closing sales) and non-customer-facing activities (inventory, safety, operations), and potentially opening/closing the store or serving as manager-on-duty. Travel is occasional for meetings/trainings. Requires morning, afternoon, and evening availability, ability to lift 25 pounds, and a High School Diploma or equivalent with retail/customer service experience. Preferred qualifications include leadership experience, Pro customer experience, and proficiency with store systems and Microsoft Office. Pay is hourly and full-time with a typical 39-40 hour schedule, and benefits are available.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of experience in a retail environment OR 5 years of experience in a retail environment
- 1 year of experience in customer service
- 1 year of experience supporting the unique needs of Pro customers (for Pro Department Supervisor)
- Experience providing direction or supervision to teams (with or without direct report responsibility)
- Experience supporting or participating in the process of training, mentoring and developing associates
- Experience working cross-functional
- Experience Using Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law
