Job Summary
Greet guests, engage in conversation, and recommend merchandise with a focus on in-house brands while maintaining a uniform standard and superior product knowledge. Stock shelves, set up displays, and rotate stock for freshness, ensuring neat aisles and readable price tags. Operate cash registers, RF scanners, and computers to process transactions and manage inventory. Provide feedback on product movement and stock levels, assist with inventory processes, and prepare promotional events as directed. Maintain a professional demeanor by avoiding personal conversations during guest interactions and adhering to all safety regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Age 21 or older
- Valid TABC Beverage Sellers Permit
- Valid Food Handlers Permit (in some cases)
- Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions or memos
- Ability to communicate with and understand coworkers and guests
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in both whole numbers and in fractions and decimals
- Ability to calculate discounts and percentages
- Reasoning ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Must be available to work any shift on Friday or Saturday
- Must be available 80% or more of all shifts each week
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
- Ability to push and/or pull 50 to 100 pounds regularly
