Job Summary
Lead the FAO Schwarz boutique team at Nordstrom, owning the guest experience across experiences, demonstrations, sales floor, and register; coach and develop a team, onboard new members, manage floor coverage and zone deployment, and lead opening/closing routines while ensuring brand standards and readiness. Drive selling performance, product knowledge, and guest engagement, partner with store leadership to align on events, product launches, and customer experiences, and maintain props, costumes, and stock readiness. Requires 2+ years of leadership in retail/hospitality/experiential environments, a strong coaching mindset, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-energy boutique setting.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of leadership experience in retail, hospitality, experiential, or performance-based environments
- strong coaching and development of a team through feedback
- ability to lead confidently across a broad range of guest-facing responsibilities
- natural selling instinct and ability to build capability across a diverse team
- strong communication skills and adaptability across diverse team and guest base
- flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and peak retail periods
- ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
