Job Summary
Sales Executive with public sector focus for CA, CO, HI, OR, and WA markets to drive revenue selling Speridian's IT products/services to government agencies. Requires proven relationship-building with state/local government buyers, expertise in procurement cycles, RFP/RFI responses, and ability to navigate long sales cycles. Responsibilities include developing new business opportunities, maintaining relationships with procurement officers and IT leaders, crafting strategic sales plans, forecasting with CRM, and representing Speridian at industry events. Remote-enabled role with travel to client locations; strong knowledge of government contracting (MSA, NASPO, state contracts) and CRM proficiency (Dynamics, Salesforce, HubSpot) are essential. A bachelor’s degree in business, IT, or related field is preferred; 5+ years of relevant sales experience in public sector IT solutions is expected.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of sales experience in IT solutions, SaaS, or PaaS with a focus on public sector clients
- Strong knowledge of government procurement cycles, contracts (e.g., MSA, Contract Vehicles, NASPO, state contracts), and compliance requirements
- Current relationships in the Colorado, Oregon, or Washington Public Sector market with State Agencies and/or large county clients
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets within the public sector
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to navigate complex sales cycles and build long-term relationships with government stakeholders
- Experience responding to RFPs and RFIs and leading proposal development efforts
- Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite
- A bachelor’s degree in business, IT, or a related field is preferred
