Sales Executive - PFAS Testing

Job Summary

Develop and execute a PFAS-specific sales strategy by researching target markets and conducting high-volume outreach via phone, email, and networking to schedule appointments. Act as an educational resource for environmental engineering firms, government agencies, and industrial facilities regarding PFAS contamination and testing methodologies. Conduct on-site and remote meetings to present Nova's capabilities, guide clients through the onboarding process, and maintain CRM records for activity tracking. Collaborate with lab leadership to align sales commitments with operational capacity, generate pipeline reports, and stay current with evolving regulatory frameworks. Report directly to the CEO with significant autonomy to build a profitable client base within this emerging vertical.

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of B2B sales experience
  • Experience in regulated industry sales and/or laboratory services
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to educate and influence buying decisions in technical contexts
  • Must have strong organizational, leadership, and customer service skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communications, public speaking, and presentation skills
  • Solid working knowledge of budgeting, sales, business development, and strategic planning
  • Ability to generate respect and trust from staff and external constituencies
  • Proven work experience as sales representative in Cannabis Sales/lab Services
  • Proficient in computer/software use, email, Microsoft, CRM systems, etc.
  • A high school diploma (or GED) and at least three (3) years of related sales experience
  • BS/BA degree preferred
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must pass required background check
  • Working knowledge of regulations (local and federal), Good Laboratory Practices, and current official methods
  • At least 3 years experience working in an accredited laboratory
  • Regular communication via phone, email, and virtual meetings (approx. 50% of workday)
  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for extended periods (approx. 75% of workday)
  • Occasional lifting of up to 23 kg and pulling of up to 68 kg during tradeshow or client site setup
  • Periodic travel required for client meetings and conferences

Desired Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of PFAS contamination issues, remediation practices, and regulatory frameworks
  • Familiarity with scientific sales and ability to communicate technical details to non-technical clients
  • Experience using CRM tools and sales analytics platforms
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a consultative selling approach
  • Capable of independently managing a sales cycle from lead generation to close
  • Bonus: experience working with or selling to municipalities, engineering firms, or water utilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Business, or a related field
  • Experience in regulated industry sales and/or laboratory services
  • Working knowledge of a broad range of plant medicine products, processes, and cultivation (e.g. Cannabis, Hemp, CBD and Fungi)
  • Demonstrated expertise in plant medicine safety, quality and value
