Job Summary
Sales Executive in Malaysia responsible for establishing and executing a sales strategy for Malaysia, maximizing revenue to meet/exceed targets, maintaining and expanding a healthy sales pipeline, and managing relationships with agents and channel partners. The role involves traveling within Malaysia for new opportunities and to upsell existing clients, sharing knowledge with the APAC sales team, and engaging in in-person client visits, conferences, and events. The position supports a balanced working model with in-office presence three days per week or more and flexible remote work, and requires in-person presence when collaborating with customers and partners.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years experience in sales (preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business (preferred)
- Consultative sales skills
- Customer-focused approach
- Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia
- Proficient in MS Office
- CRM databases experience
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with external customers
- Independent work style
- Strong communication skills (written and in-person)
- Knowledge or experience in academic publishing (preferred)
- Experience selling into academic libraries (preferred)
- Experience selling digital content (preferred)
