Job Summary
Sales Executive role based in Lisbon, hybrid arrangement (minimum three days in the office). Responsible for identifying and winning new clients, building relationships across market segments, and selling Marsh & Mercer risk, benefits, and advisory services. Manage full sales cycle with corporate and mid-market clients in Portugal (and where relevant). Develop outreach and account acquisition strategies, qualify opportunities, design solutions, price and negotiate, and close deals. Present Marsh & Mercer offerings to senior stakeholders, craft compelling proposals and RFP responses, and maintain accurate pipeline reporting. Travel as required; collaborate across functions and with marketing/product teams to refine value propositions and go-to-market efforts. Must have a proven B2B sales track record, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to navigate complex procurement processes; English and Portuguese required, Spanish a plus. The role emphasizes quota attainment, relationship-building, and cross-functional collaboration to drive revenue growth.
Required Qualifications
- Proven track record in B2B sales or business development (typically 3+ years)
- Experience selling into corporate and mid-market clients
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills with senior decision makers (C-suite)
- Ability to manage full sales cycles from prospecting to closing
- Proposal-writing and RFP response experience
- Proficiency in English and Portuguese; Spanish a plus
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and events
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment with in-office and remote work
- Professional certifications or postgraduate qualifications are a plus
