Job Summary
Build strong relationships with current customers through regular follow-up and clear communication while finding new customers, qualifying leads, and turning good opportunities into new business. Follow a clear sales process to reach revenue and customer growth goals, review market trends and competitor activity, and negotiate pricing and service terms to reach fair and profitable agreements. Prepare accurate quotes, contracts, and bookings on time, reduce errors by checking details before approvals, and work closely with operations teams to ensure customer needs are met. Track sales activity, revenue, and forecasts to measure results against goals and identify improvement opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and customer service skills
- Ability to identify sales opportunities, manage pipelines, and close new business
- Comfortable preparing quotes, contracts, and customer correspondence accurately and on time
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn internal systems and CRM tools
- Ability to work independently, collaborate across teams, and represent the company professionally
- Must have a clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate or bachelor's degree in business, marketing, logistics, or a related field
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of freight forwarding, ocean shipping, logistics, or related transportation services
- 2+ years of sales, account management, customer service, or logistics experience
- Experience in shipping, freight, transportation, or supply chain environments
- Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Creole skills
