Sales Engineering Manager

Job Summary
Lead and scale a national Sales Engineering organization by recruiting, developing, and retaining regional SE managers and individual contributors. Drive enterprise deal strategy, provide strategic deal guidance, and partner with Sales, Product, Support, and Marketing to accelerate revenue growth and customer success. Build scalable onboarding, certification programs, and enablement initiatives; establish KPIs and dashboards to monitor pipeline health, win rates, and POC outcomes; own the demo system roadmap in collaboration with DemoOps and Product; drive CRM hygiene and forecasting accuracy. Travel up to 50% and foster remote-first collaboration across geographically distributed teams while aligning with Sales leadership on territory design and quota strategies. Collaborate with Marketing and Support to ensure effective thought leadership, partner enablement, and post-sales handoffs; represent Sales Engineering in executive forums and strategic planning. The role requires deep presales/sales engineering experience with leadership, a track record of building high-performing teams, and the ability to scale processes and metrics across a nationwide organization.
Required Qualifications
- 10-12+ years in presales/sales engineering with 4-6+ years in leadership roles
- Ability to travel 50% of the time
- Proven ability to scale organizations and drive improvements in win rates and team performance
- Strong executive presence and cross-functional influence across Sales, Product, Marketing, and Support
- Operational discipline with process definition, metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Experience building diverse, inclusive teams and fostering remote-first collaboration
