Job Summary
Sales Engineer for Ventura Solutions focusing on medical device and combination product consulting, staffing, and training services. Responsibilities include lead generation and prospecting within the medical device and combination products sectors; engaging with R&D, Quality, and Regulatory teams to position services; managing the sales funnel from outreach to closing deals; applying solution selling to product development, design controls, risk management, quality systems, and regulatory compliance; developing scopes of work and negotiating contracts; leveraging medical device process knowledge to identify value opportunities including FDA/MDR compliance; representing the firm at industry events and conferences; building client relationships and expanding the customer base. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related science, 2+ years in the medical device field with exposure to development and regulatory processes, FDA/MDR regulatory knowledge, a proven business-development or client-facing track record (preferred), and strong communication and negotiation skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a scientific discipline (biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the medical device industry with exposure to product development, manufacturing, regulatory, and quality systems
- Understanding of medical device product development and post-market surveillance
- Regulatory knowledge related to FDA and MDR compliance
- Proven track record in business development, sales, or client-facing roles (preferred)
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, strong organizational and time-management skills
