Job Summary
Install, configure, and support Trimble Civil Construction and Caterpillar Grade and Technology solutions at customer job sites. Deliver hands-on training and ongoing field support to ensure successful adoption of technology platforms. Collaborate with the regional sales team to develop customer relationships, identify new business opportunities, and conduct product demonstrations. Partner with installation teams to deploy on-machine systems, base stations, and GPS infrastructure while responding to technical inquiries and maintaining accurate records. Travel throughout the assigned territory to customer locations as required.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in earthmoving, paving, road milling, or heavy construction operations
- Strong knowledge of construction technology, machine control, or GPS guidance systems
- Understanding of land surveying principles and construction layout techniques
- Familiarity with CAD-based software applications
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to build lasting business relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively train, coach, and mentor customers and team members
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
- Self-motivated, solution-oriented, and capable of working independently or collaboratively
- Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and sound decision-making
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Ability to obtain MSHA certification
- Must successfully complete all required site-specific safety training and pit driving requirements
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Trimble, Topcon, Leica, or similar guidance and positioning technologies
- Experience with hydraulics, heavy construction equipment, or machine control systems
- Experience in construction technology implementation or technical support
