Job Summary
The Sales Engineer owns the technical sales cycle from discovery through solution design to close, transforming complex customer challenges into clear solutions using Sendbird's APIs and AI capabilities. Candidates should have experience in pre-sales technical roles, particularly within developer-focused SaaS or CPaaS firms. Required skills include fluency with RESTful APIs, mobile SDKs, and integration workflows, as well as knowledge of a development environment. Practical experience with AI concepts and tools is essential. Responsibilities entail running discovery sessions, guiding solution architecture, designing impactful demos, and collaborating closely with product and engineering teams.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years in Sales Engineering (pre-sales) at a developer-focused platform SaaS and/or CPaaS company
- Hands-on fluency with RESTful APIs, mobile SDKs, and integration workflows
- Working knowledge of at least one development environment such as JavaScript/React, iOS/Swift, Android/Kotlin, Unity, React Native, or Flutter
- Strong written and verbal communication in English
- Ability to travel for customer onsite visits
- Confidence navigating security and compliance conversations (SOC 2, ISO-27001/42001, HIPAA, GDPR)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with generative AI concepts including LLMs, AI agents, and agentic workflows
- Familiarity with AI tooling such as Claude or ChatGPT, and automation platforms such as Make, Zapier, or n8n
- Experience stringing together APIs or building lightweight automations
