Job Summary
Join NETGEAR's Network Security team as a Sales Engineer, where you will act as the technical subject matter expert during the sales cycle. Your role includes designing tailored solutions for customers, delivering technical presentations and product demos, guiding clients through product deployment, and maintaining strong relationships with customers and partners. You should possess a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, and have at least 3 years of experience in Sales Engineering or a related role, with hands-on knowledge of network security solutions and protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Security, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in a Sales Engineering, Systems Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or related technical role, specifically in network security.
- Proven hands-on experience implementing and deploying solutions including Next-Generation Firewalls, Zero-Trust Network Access, Secure Web Gateways, VPN technologies, and SD-WAN.
- Strong understanding of routing, switching, and network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, etc.).
- Ability to translate complex technical topics into clear business value for stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
- Experience working with MSPs and/or SMB clients in a consultative or pre-sales capacity.
Desired Qualifications
- Professional certifications such as CISSP or similar.
- Experience working with cloud-based security platforms and SaaS-delivered security.
- Exposure to regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, or SOC 2.
- Experience supporting partner ecosystems and VARs in a technical sales capacity.
- Familiarity with automation, scripting (e.g., Python, Bash), or infrastructure-as-code is a plus.
