Job Summary
Sales Engineer role combining technical engineering expertise with direct sales support across HVAC/fire life safety products. Responsibilities include delivering training presentations to engineers, architects, contractors, and wholesalers; overseeing regional sales territories and coordinating between engineering, production, sales, and customers; outreach to mechanical engineers; analyzing building codes (ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, etc.) and recommending product specifications; collaborating with the engineering design team to develop or improve products; providing direct sales support to regional representatives; conducting market research to identify new opportunities; interpreting sales data to identify trends; and traveling up to 50% across assigned territories. Required skills include strong written and verbal communication, analytical and organizational abilities, proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM systems (Salesforce, Infor CRM, etc.), and familiarity with AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and at least 1 year of professional experience, with travel to designated US territories.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or Industrial Engineering (accredited required)
- Minimum 1 year of professional experience (excluding internships)
- Experience in leading teams and implementing projects (a plus)
- Experience in the HVAC sales, construction, or trades industry (preferred)
- Proven ability to deliver impactful presentations to large audiences
- Willingness to travel at least 50%
