Job Summary
Sales Engineer - Physical Security responsible for designing, deploying, and supporting integrated security solutions for enterprise, commercial, and Gov-Ed customers. Acts as a technical subject matter expert on access control, video surveillance, IoT devices, networking infrastructure, and cloud-based security platforms. Performs customer discovery, site assessments, and technical consultations to identify operational and security requirements; develops system architectures, scopes of work, bill of materials, and deployment recommendations; delivers technical presentations, demonstrations, and training; collaborates with account executives, project managers, and customers to ensure successful project execution across multiple locations; travels to customer sites for meetings, installations, commissioning, and post-deployment support; works with manufacturers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure adherence to standards and best practices; maintains knowledge of applicable laws and policies and demonstrates strong communication and problem-solving skills to effectively serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Information Technology, Engineering, Security Technology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in systems integration, sales engineering, or technical consulting supporting enterprise customers
- Experience with enterprise physical security systems including video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, and IoT-connected devices
- Strong understanding of enterprise networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, HTTPS, NAT, routing, switching, firewall configurations)
- Experience with multi-site deployments and large-scale integration projects
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Security+, Network+, CISSP, AWS, or Microsoft Azure; Verkada certifications (VCE) could be relevant
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Ability to travel to customer sites as required
- Experience with Active Directory, SSO/SAML, SCIM provisioning, APIs, scripting, and automation tools
