Job Summary
Design-in company products to maximize Murata's print position and gain customer approvals while studying wireless industry trends and RF technologies to address market challenges. Educate customers on product offerings and capabilities to drive awareness, then execute promotional strategies to achieve design wins and obtain bill-of-materials and approved vendor list approvals. Coordinate with Product and R&D teams to resolve customer requirements, initiate technical proposals, and establish relationships with customer design engineering staff. Provide samples, technology roadmaps, and promotional programs, then document sales opportunities and actions within Salesforce.com. Assists the account manager with annual budgets, maintains technical information for team sharing, and supports customer quality issues. Local and domestic travel required; hybrid schedule in San Jose or Irvine, California.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with Knowledge of the electronics industry and products
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) in cellular and Wi-Fi applications, with a strong focus on RF technologies
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to demonstrate proficiency in communication and effective collaboration
- Facilitation skills to work with and among individuals from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds
- Strong problem-solving skills, business acumen, adaptability, and ability to consistently handle ever-changing conditions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.com or similar CRM
- Hybrid from San Jose, California or Irvine, California
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Material Science
- 2+ years of passive or active component sales or design experience
- Previous manufacturing technical sales experience
- Japanese language skills
- Local and domestic travel
- Infrequent international travel
