Job Summary
The Sales Engineer acts as a key link to comprehensive metal manufacturing services, requiring both technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills. Responsibilities include managing client relationships, providing technical sales support, developing proposals, and ensuring project oversight while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in technical sales within metal manufacturing
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including CNC machining, MIG/TIG welding, and metal forming
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD files
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks)
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Willingness to travel to customer sites and trade shows as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with ERP and CRM systems
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other quality standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
