Job Summary
Sales Engineer to serve as the technical link between customers and internal teams, translating real-world applications into scalable Additive Manufacturing (AM) solutions. Responsibilities include Technical Sales Support (partnering with Account Executives, leading technical discussions, translating customer needs into production-ready solutions, RFQ activities related to post-processing and manufacturing), Solution Development (DfAM guidance, scalable workflows—primarily LPBF—feasibility, build strategy, cost considerations, data-driven proposals), Customer Engagement (technical presentations, sample reviews, proof-of-concept builds, acting as the technical contact throughout the sales cycle, coordinating with i3D engineering), Collaboration & Execution (alignment with manufacturing capabilities, actionable feedback, development of application content and case studies), and Post-Sales Support (onboarding and early production ramp-up, troubleshooting, long-term customer success). Required qualifications include 2+ years in technical sales or additive manufacturing, familiarity with DfAM, strong communication, and self-driven ownership; preferred familiarity with LPBF and metals. The role is located in Redmond, Oregon, US.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in technical sales, application engineering, or additive manufacturing
- Familiarity with DfAM principles and part screening for additive
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Self-driven with a sense of ownership and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Demonstrated initiative and willingness to support team members and shared goals
- Working knowledge of LPBF and metal AM materials (e.g., titanium, nickel alloys, stainless steels)
- Familiarity with DfAM principles and part screening for additive
