Job Summary
Investigate and demonstrate InterSystems products alongside third-party technologies to address customer database and application needs. Build and execute Proofs of Concept for prospects and partners, illustrating suitability, performance, and connectivity. Recommend technical architecture, design patterns, and migration strategies while installing software and assisting with benchmarking exercises. Provide application programming in Caché Objects, SQL, and ObjectScript, and deliver corporate presentations and formal training courses. Support customers during beta tests and pre-launch activities, troubleshoot technical issues, and coach partners on adoption. Partner with the Country Sales Manager on business strategies and occasionally travel for international meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience working with customers on complex challenges, combined with the ability to coordinate or mentor internal teams
- Demonstrated capability and motivation to take on increasing management and stakeholder‐facing responsibilities in a dynamic environment
- Ongoing experience within the design, development & deployment of complex applications
- Knowledge of competing application frameworks and application servers such as .NET, Python, NodeJS, Javascript, PHP, Django o J2ee
- Practical experience with at least one of the frameworks listed above
- Knowledge of Software development processes such as XP, RAD, RUP or DSDM
- Extensive use of 1 or more databases such as Caché, Oracle, SQLServer, Sybase, Informix or DB2/UDB
- Designing logical and physical database schema
- Good SQL and JDBC/ODBC expertise
- Installation and configuration skills
- Performance tuning
- Proven business analysis and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of the business considerations of application development, support and deployment
- Knowledge of HTML5 and developing applications using modern web frameworks such as Angular
- Design libraries such as Bootstrap
- Server side communication with REST
- Proficiency in Spanish and English
Desired Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience programming with demonstrable current hands-on expertise in object-oriented languages such as C#, C++ or Java / J2ee
- Interest in growing into a leadership‐oriented role that extends beyond technical responsibilities
- General knowledge of Cloud Infrastructures such as GCP
- General knowledge of Docker Containers
- Proven leadership or technical management in an application development environment
- Experience running formal technical training courses
- Broad knowledge of IT Industry issues, trends and technical knowledge in any of the following specific vertical markets: HealthCare, Retail, IoT on Mining, Utility or Other markets, Finance
