Job Summary
Sales Engineer responsible for creating, growing, and maintaining sales of industrial gas products and technical solutions to new and existing customers in metals processing, heat treatment, and related industries. Acts as the technical expert differentiating client offerings, understanding prospect needs, applying value-added sales approaches to improve manufacturing processes, and building cross-functional relationships (operations, maintenance, engineering). Responsible for understanding competitive gas supply terms, maintaining existing customers through technical expertise, identifying industry trends, and developing new applications or improving equipment. Works with Applications Equipment Engineering and Global technical teams to design technical solutions, conducts customer process audits and safety trainings, and stays current on company technologies and competitive options.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferably Chemical, Metallurgy or Manufacturing); MBA a plus
- At least five (5) years of related experience in applying or selling technical solutions in metals processing, metals technology selling or manufacturing environments
