Job Summary

Sales Engineer for the Western region handling large turnkey projects in the metal industry, focusing on castings, forgings, extrusions and sheet products. Responsibilities include analyzing markets, introducing the company product line through meetings and presentations, writing complete sales proposals, assisting in estimates and quotes for outsourced equipment and installation, developing proposal drawings/models, negotiating and closing deals, coordinating with project teams, supporting marketing and R&D, providing CRM activity updates, and traveling extensively to meet annual targets. Requires strong communication and organizational skills, proficiency with Word/Excel/PowerPoint, and prior sales experience in metal Foundry environments plus technical degree. Knowledge of heat treatment equipment and related processes is advantageous.

Required Qualifications

  • Sales professional for at least 5 years
  • Technical degree
  • Experience in selling larger heat treatment equipment
  • Sales experience in metal industry
  • Foundry experience
  • Experience with additional equipment to operate a heat treatment system
  • Familiar with heat treatment technologies for different materials
  • Strong business problem solving, PC, time management and organizational skills
  • Good communication skills, verbal and written
  • Good software skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
