Job Summary
Conduct technical evaluations and deliver compelling product demonstrations for MDR bundles including Endpoint, Encryption, MFA, and EDR. Execute proof-of-value and proof-of-concept assessments to identify customer needs while assisting in deeper qualification of requirements and contributing to opportunity responses in the CRM. Develop and maintain testing programs and demonstration environments, then provide active signposting and technical feedback to support the customer's life-cycle. Partner with sales teams to enable channel partners beyond basic demonstrations, ensuring technical success across complex security challenges.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2-4 years of experience in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Systems Engineer, Technical Consultant, or similar customer-facing technical role
- 2+ years of experience supporting cybersecurity, networking, cloud security, endpoint security, identity management, threat detection, or related security solutions
- Proven experience partnering with sales teams to support complex enterprise sales cycles
- Experience conducting technical presentations, product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and customer workshops
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, threats, vulnerabilities, and security best practices
- Knowledge of endpoint protection, EDR/XDR, SIEM, IAM, network security, cloud security, and zero-trust architectures
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong presentation and public speaking skills with the ability to engage executive, technical, and business stakeholders
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to conduct technical discovery and develop solution recommendations aligned with customer requirements
- Experience with networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, routing, and switching
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
- Ability to assess the security posture of an enterprise environment and recommend and implement appropriate security solutions
- Monitor and secure hybrid environments, including cloud, mobile, and IoT
- Operate with an awareness of applicable laws and policies, including principles of governance, risk, and compliance
- Identify, analyze, and respond to security events and incidents
- Understands (Intermediate admin) Operating system configuration (Windows, Mac, Linux)
- Can establish network connectivity, monitor activity, carry out hardening, configure and troubleshoot infrastructure
- Understands Virtual Machine usage
- Ability to work on-site or remote in an office environment for extended periods of time
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, handling documents, and operating office equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively, including talking and hearing, in person and via phone or video conferencing
- Occasional standing, walking, bending, or reaching within the office environment
- May be required to lift and carry items up to 15 pounds on an occasional basis
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant industry certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CEH, CCNA, CCNP, or cloud security certifications
- CompTIA Network+, CompTIA A+ preferred
- Experience working with enterprise customers, channel partners, MSPs, MSSPs, or VARs is preferred
